The format of the real exam

The examen civique (civics exam) is taken on a computer or tablet, in an approved centre (a CCI chamber of commerce, or France Éducation international):

• 40 questions in total: 28 knowledge questions + 12 mises en situation (real-life scenarios);
• 45 minutes maximum;
• a pass threshold of 80%, i.e. 32 correct answers out of 40.

Each question is a multiple-choice question with 4 answers, only one correct. You can retake the exam as many times as needed, and the certificate of success has no expiry date. Our mock-exam simulator reproduces this format and timing.
