We are a small, independent team. We build a training tool for the examen civique (civics exam), nothing more, nothing less. Here is our story, in full transparency.
Who we are
Civicap is an independent training product. We are not affiliated with the Ministry of the Interior, France Éducation international or the CCIs (chambers of commerce and industry). We are not a government service. We do not sell or book your exam slot: registration happens only on the platforms of the approved centres.
Why we exist
The examen civique (civics exam) is young. It has been mandatory since 1 January 2026 for a first application for a carte de séjour pluriannuelle (multi-year residence permit), a carte de résident (resident card) or a naturalisation (French citizenship). The framework comes from décret no. 2025-647 and décret no. 2025-648 of 15 July 2025, and from the arrêté of 10 October 2025.
Many people feel anxious. You need at least 80% correct answers, i.e. 32 correct answers out of 40. It matters a lot for your life in France, and the wait can be stressful. We want to help you arrive on exam day calm and ready, with a clear plan and explanations at your language level.

Our honesty commitment
We want to be clear about what you pay for. The exam's knowledge questions are free and public: the ministry puts them online. You never need to pay to access them, with us or anywhere else.
What we sell is the training around those questions: mock exams in the real format, a personalised revision plan, clear explanations and mises en situation (real-life scenarios). We help you do the work, not “buy” the answers.
